The fact that the woman goes to a [man] doctor

Question:

What is the ruling concerning the fact that the woman goes to a man gynecologist? May Allah bless you.       

Answer:

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers until the Day of Resurrection:

It is not permissible for a woman to go to a (man) doctor when a woman doctor is available. As a basic principle, the woman has to go to a Muslim woman doctor, but if it is not possible, she has to go to a non Muslim woman doctor. And if it is not possible to go neither to a Muslim nor a non Muslim woman doctor, in need, she can see a doctor (man). Moreover; she is allowed to unveil whatever the doctor needs to examine; but, as a condition, her husband or her Mahram must be present during the examination in order to not be in isolation with him. This is permissible because its forbiddance is the [kind of] forbiddance concerning means; and in such case it is permissible in need.

The perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزَّ وجلَّ; and our last prayer is all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and prayers of Allah are to Muhammad and his Family, Companions and Brothers until the Day of Resurrection.
