The ruling concerning reading Quran or other things during work time

Question:

Is it permissible to recite Quran from the [Holy] Book or to read other things at work? And may Allah reward you well.

Answer:

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection. This being so said:

It is permissible to recite Quran from the [Holy] Book or to read and leaf through books and magazines or browse them during the pauses at work or after work, so that the employee’s reading will not take place in the time for which his enterprise pays him, and he must consider the required decencies of reciting Quran while reading it.

And perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزَّ وجلَّ; and our last prayer is all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and prayers of Allah are to Mohammad and his Family, Companions and Brothers until the Day of Resurrection.
